Jodie Picoult's novel is now a major motion picture — and a great opportunity to remind others to think about organ donation.
Awareness opportunity
On 26th June 2009,
My Sister's Keeper is being released in cinemas throughout the UK. Based on the novel by Jodi Picoult, the theme of organ, blood and tissue donation is prevalent throughout the film.
One of our Advocates
Andrea Evans spotted a fantastic opportunity; she decided to write to all her local cinemas asking them if they would display organ donor leaflets in their foyers whilst the film runs. Fellow Advocate
Holly Shaw swiftly followed suit and between them they have already got 10 cinemas to agree to display Organ Donation Leaflets and information on their foyers.
Inspired by Andrea, we have launched a bid to help as many cinemas as possible around the country make use of this fantastic awareness-raising opportunity.
